back story:
december 2014 i was sat at my computer and felt a bit odd.. got up to get a drink then woke up on the floor, partner called an ambulance who hooked me up to an ecg machine, heart beat was around 150bpm and irregular.. after about 30 mins it calmed down i felt fine so refused going to hospital.
next day i felt similar so i got myself to hospital and had ecgs done, x-ray done and urine test, sent home with nothing really found.
fast forward on about 6 months
doctors have told me its inflammation of the chest muscles, asthma, anxiety and stomach acid...
was booked in for a 7 day ecg which i did and nothing much was found other than random episodes where my heart wil go from 80bpm up to 130+ when im asleep or at rest and sometimes just a bit irregular, was given pills to slow my heart but not being a constant problem it was usually around 50bpm most days even as low as 45 or so.
given up with doctors and carrying on life as best i can it seemed to get better until my new symptoms, chest pain constantly and episodes of a tight throat feeling, i get a horrible pain all across my chest from the left side near my back all the way across to my right tit sometimes its almost unbearable.
2 weeks ago i got woken up by an extreme pain in the left side of my chest i could barely breath at all i felt like i was going to explode, partner phoned the non emergency number but they sent an amublance who was so rude it was unreal, she told me its nothing serious and i can obviously breath or i wouldnt be standing, told me to book a doctors appointment and left, didn't do any checks on me didnt even touch me...
around 30 minutes later the pain came back worse than before, dizzy and struggling for breath again, partner called 999 this time and we had a paramedic car come out, within about 15 mins of her saying its not that bad its probably just anxiety or im tired... she got her ecg machine and tested me, about 5 minutes later she put an emergency call in for an ambulance as my blood pressure was very high and i was at around 140bpm at rest and had been for around an hour, tried everything to get my blood pressure to go down but nothing changed it.
blue lights and all that jazz, got into hospital got tested with the same methods as every other time, blood and ecg to be told my hearts okay i havent had a heart attack go home....
booked doctors appointment to get this sorted as its ruling my life now, i never have any energy i can't walk up stairs without being out of breath, finally found a doctor who sort of listens, after loads of tests i was requested to do a 24 hour urine test as shes certain i have a tumour on my adrenal gland which is causing this.. releasing too much adrenaline which is making my heart work overtime.
a week since the urine test i was told the results could take 3-4 weeks to come through! asked for some good pain killers ended up getting a sedative instead... so it seems im destined to spend my life as a cabbage sat on the sofa with no idea whats going on.
test results ive had:
high white blood cell count
low iron
enlarged heart
normal size heart
inflamed liver
normal liver
asthma
not asthma
stroke
not stroke
costocondritus
that shit clears up within 2-3 weeks

I'm serious, my sister had the same symptoms - dizziness, racing heart, palpitations, chest pain, difficulty breathing. Undiagnosed for years, then read about how much of a shite substance Aspartame is. Switched from drinking diet drinks, condition cleared up.
A bloke at work then complained about racing heart, palpitations and dizziness, I mentioned this to him and he quit diet drinks, been clean for a year now.
Better to have full fat sugary drinks than that poison. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

Not sure if it's an option or even feasible for you but it might be worth considering getting a private consultation done. You'll find them more accommodating and willing to test for more than the routine stuff.
It'll cost a fair bit but if they do find something serious or out of the ordinary which the NHS didn't catch then there is a chance NHS will cover the private costs and continue treatment accordingly.
Considering how long this has been going on for it's worth it imo for peace of mind if nothing else.
All the best though.. ____________________ GSXR 600 K6 - Stolen

Frequent ECGs are just them fucking around testing how well different glues stick to hair.
That reminds me, I'm meant to have gone to the GPs surgery for bloods and an ECG. |
