As riders of motorbikes, we've always got an eye out for our next bike, what bike might be your next?

I've currently got half an eye on the Kwak 1400GTR but probably won't buy one, might do in a couple of years but might go and have a look at one for a test ride very soon.

I'll probably stick with Fazers, they suit me perfectly. So probably be a FZ8 or FZ1 next.

XSR900, once I've worked out a nefarious plan to kill someone and steal their savings without me going to prison.

Currently on the hunt for something new. Unsure whether to keep the current bike (Falco) and have something to go alongside it, a Mito or an RS125 to restore and have fun on. Or get something like and older Multistrada or ST3 as an all round bike.

Still on the list of potentials are the Sportster 1200, W650 or a Dullsville. Or an F650 (the single, not the twin 800). It's going to be a while though, still happy with the Enfield.

For me being realistic, then I'd say something like a Kawasaki KSR80.

I wouldn't mind an MBX125 or RD125LC to do a 200cc motor swap into and restore either. Then again I'd like to put a 300cc trials engine into a chassis like a Mito or similar.

Big bikes are going to be a long way off yet, as Im spunking cash on a chavvy old car. But If a local Z1300, GPZ1100 or CB1100R came up and I had the pennies then I wouldn't be able to help myself.

I cant seem to like anything more modern than a Hornet 900, and new bikes make me go soft and limp at best.

I`m trying to get rid of bikes, not get more Sad , the XS 400 is on it`s way out soon.
The CM 250t will be the next to go Very Happy .
I think I will continue with the Superdream of lovelyness, depending on disposable income.
My ZX6r is enough to give me thrills and plenty fast enough for me Smile

I can honestly say that I have not come across anything in my price range that makes me go "PHOWR!" and everything else is out of reach so I dont get excited about it.
There are lots of bikes I would like and about the only one I would consider now would be a 250 MZ Thumbs Up

Do a bit of research first. My understanding is that they are (were) prone to some expensive electrical niggles. Also the finish isn't the best.
If you want a big Kwak then for my money the ZZR1400 is the one to go for.

If it's a sports touring bike then you would do a lot worse than a Yamaha FJR1300. A few MPH slower than the GTR but infinitely reliable and superbly finished. I am of coursed biased having owned one for the last 4 years. It's taken me and my wife all over Europe and the only thing to go wrong was that a headlight bulb blew at 36K. Fast, comfortable, comes with hard (removable) luggage as standard and it's the only bike I've ever owned where 500 miles in a day isn't enough Wink

PS.. I would love a 1299 Panigale but it's never going to happen Crying or Very sad

I would love the new Honda Africa Twin with all the gizmos on it. If I won the lottery it would be the first thing that I bought, at the moment I will have to do some saving up before the dream becomes reality.

I'm happy with my bike and with a few more mods I will be happy for a couple of years yet!

Although as a natural progression I like the S1000Rs.

The boxes look quite small on the FJR, there will be times when I need side boxes that can take a lid-sized object. The other bike that has caught my eye is the BMW K1300GT but it's a BMW Sick

Don't forget the multistrada Joe. Might be worth a testride. I tried one and very nearly bought it.
Probably the next bike for me.

Could never trust a Ducati to get me to work every day, plus it's a Ducati so would feel guilty using through winter and never cleaning it.

Plus it has to be a shaft drive. Once you've been thoroughly shafted, you'll never go back.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm............................... where to start

window shopping for a round headlight street triple R, VTR1000 or 1290 superduke.

I rode a friends street triple Rx and wasn't overly impressed. Felt a bit gutless. Wasn't sold. Think it would be good on the twisties, but the initial jump on and head to the nearest dual carriageway and pin open the throttle, wasn't impressed. The bike didn't try and kick me off, just got up to license losing speed in a nonchalant manner.

The VTR I'm yet to sample, but am put off by it's limited tank range and general thirstyness.

The superduke 1290 is too expensive at the moment, and it's predecessor the 990 doesn't look as good, and also has a weak range. I've seen a few people on the tinternets say they get around 80-90 miles from a tank.

I honestly don't know. There's something I like about all of them, yet something I dislike. Latest idea was Shiver, but eh. Kind of went off it.

Ducati.

Not even sure which one but I get a fair discount from work. It'll probably be a monster to use as a commuter.
