get it fitted, you get the certificate, after that, doubt anyone will care enough unless you get caught doing something stupid.
also the amount of extra power just an exhaust is going to add will be nothing if it doesn't take power.
as a side note, the so hated GS005 I had, had an open pipe, K&N filter, up jetted, ignition advance and still didn't produce a appreciable amount of extra power. but those combined with a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket improved torque which helped while 2 up. ____________________ Current rides - 2016 Triumph Street Triple Rx, 1994 Suzuki Bandit 400 VM, TGB 204 Classic 125cc

It only claimed 36.5kW as new. Even assuming that number was ever accurate and that it's in full as-new working order, any restriction needed would be absolutely minimal. In practice it could probably be achieved simply by introducing a tiny bit of slack into the throttle cable.
I'll bet my 3rd best lid that if you order a £60 "35kW restriction kit" then what you'll receive for your money is two washers with either "25kW" sized holes from pre-2015, or just big random holes drilled in them - the actual washers should be almost, but not quite, entirely not there. The other £59 buys you a piece of paper with "IS TOTES LEGIT 35KW OFFISHUL" on it.
The infamous SV650.org bike-seized thread suggested that the threshold for criminal prosecution is a dyno reading more than 10% over the limit. That's not going to happen, even with your racebike exhaust.
For insurance, what you need is (at most) the "35KW LEGIT" paper. You have access to a printer, right? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Helpful, but the restriction required on even a fresh-from-the-factory Er5 would be absolutely minimal. GPZ washers (even if they're actually 35kW rather than 25kW) would seem likely to drop it down a fair bit more than needed.
And even if he's going above and beyond compliance with the law, it's more likely that he'll be asked to prove it rather than made to prove it, so the TOTES FISHUL SERTIFKUT is more likely to be of use, if you have that. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

The only winning move is not to play print off a PaddyCerttm. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Unless it actually says "NOT ROAD LEGAL - DEATH TO KITTENS" on it, I wouldn't. Even if it does say that, I probably wouldn't.
You'll get dry bummed both for the exhaust, plus an admin fee on top for them hitting a few keys.
You say you've only just found out that it's a "sports" exhaust. Well, what if you hadn't? And how would you know? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
