i have a 2015 GSR 750, recently i've been having problems startin it up. found out its the clutch switch.

just want to know if this is a common thing or anyone with a Suzuki has had this problem. Or is it just me

Hi

Can be a pain. On some the work as a pin that goes in some below, and if you carelessly remove the lever you can pull the pin off and stop the switch working.

Don't think they are expensive.

It's common with my bikes.

Both my ZX12 and the ZX6 needed the clutch switch sorting when I got them. They would start fine in neutral with the clutch out, but not with the clutch pulled in.

The older Kawasaki ones are 3 strips of copper and a slider arrangement inside, not a microswitch. They can be removed, opened and cleaned with a bit of contact cleaner to remove the crud that builds up in there, then put back together.

Probably not relevant to your GSR which likely has a microswitch.
