Spam emails or real?

I keep getting emails from an overseas pharmacy telling me my erectile dysfunction is curable and it's only a few yen for the meds. I didn't even know I had erectile dysfunction. Well if I have the wife never mentioned it. And if I do I'm sure ten minutes with holly willaboobie would sort me out. Anyone else get any proper strange emails or is it just me?

Probably just a bunch of weird ones. I tend to only get them from my nigerian friends Prince Wazeem el-Akinbegum and his dad Momo Popadora-Azam but we have a close relationship whereby I get mega money by sending them money.

I'm amazed there are still people who think spam email is so unusual and a such a new thing, that it's worth making a "comical" thread about on an Internet forum.

there's a knob in the states that appears to have the same name as me and occasionally forgets that his e-mail address has his middle initial or a number in it and signs my address up for random crap

I just log in to whatever crap it is, change the password or settings depending on how I feel at the time and carry on.

Changing his cut price tinder profile to be looking for men was fun.

Of my email accounts, one is a spam slave I use for companies I might deal with again (one-offs get the 10min mail treatment). So far today:

Tesco are giving me a chance to shop for free (despite the email coming from [email protected])

4 broken emails have been found and recovered by someone called [email protected]

Barclays have found some irregular card activity (which is fine as there is £0 in that account, although I'm impressed they chose to email me on the account I have never given them)

Santander want me to log in to update urgent security info. Quite why I don't know as I've never banked with them. Ever.

Gmail has decided to send me a message to my outlook account telling me I have a recovered message, although it's actually [email protected] who has been charged with telling me this

Support still has those 4 broken emails waiting for me. To be fair, if they're broken, I'm not sure I want them. I won't even take a broken bourbon out of the biscuit tin.

Lloyds bank have sent me an important notice. Shame I'm not a customer, as I'd probably be interested in that otherwise.

TSB have closed my account. That was nice of them, considering I didn't open it. Funny how some things just turn out well in the end.


No erectile dysfunction though. A guy at work did once try to sell me viagra. He didn't seem too impressed when I told him my trouble is keeping it down.

I've never understood why people don't take spam seriously.

I have been for the last 10 years and I now have a 9 foot penis which is constantly erect, have 3 Russian brides, have just discovered a rich Nigerian uncle who left me loads of money, have enhanced breasts and have just completed sending out loads of envelopes (working from home, obviously getting $200-$400 a day). I'm sitting here sipping beer while I wait for HMRC to send me my cheque for a £300,000 refund and interest on errors they made 7 years ago...

Doesn't get better than this...

Not myself but at work we get lots of dodgy spam.
This ranges from Nigerian Princes to cheap drugs for Viagra.
We also get emails in Russian and Chinese. However, I do not wish to translate this.

When I had a desk job we had a small problem with this. Some clever spammer managed to worm a few emails past the security filters. Lots of people clicked the link, using the infallible logic that if it's appeared on their work computer it has to be legit. The IT department got some right overtime out of that one.
