Whilst looking for the idle speed adjuster on my SV650S, I came across what looks like it could be a loose nut. It moves about if I open the throttle. Before I tighten it, I just thought I'd better make sure I'm not tightening something I shouldn't? I've enclosed a pic so you can see what nut I mean. It's on the left hand side of the frame in what I think is the throttle body.

I dont know your bike but if its on the throttle bodys it could well be for adjusting the balance. It shouldn't be loose though. I would suggest getting a manual and finding out exactly what it is and then balancing the throttle bodys, if you live near corby i have some vacuum gauges and could come help you out.

It didn't look right. Every time I twisted the throttle it span around due to the vibes. Probably why it has a spring under it! I'll tighten it up. Thanks.

I'm Blackpool, so a little far away! Thanks for the offer though!

It's an 04. I believe I've found the screw for that elsewhere though.
