Isolator on a virgin internet.

Internet broke the other night, 20 minutes buggering around identified on the isolator house side as the issue.

Currently I have it bridged with a female to female f connector. Not Ideal but I'm fairly certain has in isolator in the cable. Anyone know for sure? It is the new super hub 3 and the cable has bulge in it like a 10cm high stack of 10p pieces.

Am I going to ruin my kit?

I can't seem to find another isolator that looks similar. the old one is a vocom vc300

You might end up with an unstable connection or cable tv crapness, it's designed to only allow a certain frequency range through each side.

Phone VM and get them to send you a replacement.

I had one of those inside the socket in my bedroom. It wasn't used but the bloke removed it anyway saying it will cause interference on a modern cable circuit and could have been effecting the downstairs TV/Router connection.

Could be cobblers, but it would have been installed over 20 years ago, when things were a bit lower speed.
