Had a bloody screw in my week-old PR4 today. I had a horrible sinking feeling when I first saw it but luckily it went in flat under the surface. I un-screwed about 20mm of thread out of the tyre and no trace of a leak.

That is lucky!

Might be worth keeping an eye on that area in case you start getting any tread separation from the main carcass, but hopefully will be fine

Unlike that poor sod who bunged a brand new tyre on and managed to acquire a Stanley knife blade the next day.

damn you, I've had 4 punctures in my PR3 resulting in 2 AA call outs and I only rode to work twice this week!
