Has anyone used the above? I've just moved into the area and looking for a local mechanic.

If there any recommendations (no main dealers please), I'd be grateful.

Not personally, but the previous owner of one of my bikes used Holland Engineering and was very happy with them. Said he would definitely recommend them for the future. However, I do all my own servicing and I'm up near Stony Stratford, nowhere near Mursley, so haven't been down there.

Where abouts are you? For the few bits I can't do (tyre changes and MOT) I use Stratford Road Motorcycles in Wolverton. They have always been good.

Also, if they are still going, Milton Keynes Motorcycle Centre in Kiln Farm. Local motorcycle training school used to use them all the time.

If you want a shiny bling workshop experience there is IDP Moto at Silverstone circuit. I've used them for tyres before and they were good. Very nice facilities there.

I use them for my MOTs. Pete Holland is a fair person and won't rip you off.

While I was at sea if my wife had any problems with her bike she took it there as she was happy how they treated her, not taking the piss because she lnew naff all about mechanics.

It's also 'old school' as in they customise harleys and chops as well as work on modern bikes. If you get offered a cup of tea you have been accepted, just make sure you have you innoculations before drinking out of one of their mugs. Laughing

I used Stratford road motorcycles before the previous owner died. I've had mixed messages about the place since then.

Churchills are cheap for tyres and fitting but I have never used them for mechanical stuff so can't comment.

Churchill's is right next door to a biker cafe if you're partial to a bit of sausage

Super sausage? Popular on Sundays! Also popular as the local plods watering hole and they are inclined to take a wander round the car park. I'm sure it's just to look at the pretty bikes Wink

The very same. I've yet to see any rozzers there so far, although there's always plenty of bacon

I'm actually in Steeple Claydon, so a bit of a distance from... well most places.
