If his vision was anything like what the camera caught, I only have one thing to say.

Dumbass.

What a knobhead!

How hard is it to ride slowly while tilting your head downwards until you no longer have the sun in your eyes?

On top of the shat riding I can't believe he has the cheek to ask people to donate to him as a result of his stupidity

If your visibility is fucked you never take for granted what traffic around you is doing. He assumed traffic was flowing at normal speed and paid a hefty price.

Lucky not quadraspazzed.

It's for that very reason my home bound commutes has been 23 miles instead of 15 miles recently. I'm only going directly into the sun in 30mph & 20mph limits. As a biker rear-ending or being rear ended on a high speed road is going to hurt, a lot. As demonstrated in the video.

I never usually ask for money; but biking is my only method of transport to and from work. It is also my main hobby and a huge passion of mine. During the crash, I broke my laptop, my phone, my gear and my motorbike - so now I'm borrowing items from my family just to be able to keep in contact. I don't expect anybody to donate to me as this collision was my fault; but if anybody feels like helping a fellow rider get back on his feet, I will appreciate it greatly and will be forever thankful. I am already very grateful for all the support and comments you have all given me. Stay safe everybody!

Had it been the other way around, we'd be screaming for that murderous car driver to be hung, drawn and quartered.

Q: I'm just curious as to why he was going so slow?
A: Because he couldn't see!

The word "poltroon" isn't used enough these days.

That looked nasty. At least he was okay.

Asking for donations though....reminds me of when a pal of mine irresponsibly bought a German Shepherd but didn't have the money to care for it properly. A big Vet's bill came up which he couldn't afford, so he asked for donations from people to cover the bill Rolling Eyes

I had that this morning, drop down visor just not quite doing it's job.

Would have avoided standing traffic by braking much harder, but there was a spare lane so I kept braking and took it.

Will be going steadier along that stretch tomorrow!

That looked nasty, and obviously incredibly stupid.

Will he be using the donations to put a sunstrip on his visor? Thinking
