Hi, guys...new here, literally just signed up here hoping someone would be able to help..

Recently bought a Nsr 125 r1 2001 and im not feeling the chunky middle fairings, they can be removed ofcourse but then it just looks wierd...I also thought of streetfighter-ing it but wanted to keep it as original as possible, then i found out about the raiden....ive seen a headlight, front headlight fairing and headight mounts for the nsr raiden jc22 on ebay....just wondering if i would be able to straight fit them to the nsr foxeye and if i would need anything else for the conversion?

I know a few people may think that the raiden is ugly and why not just streetfighter it completely...but its slightly got to do with headights suiting the bike

Anyone? Cool

Nope. Nobody in their right mind is going to say "make it look like a bike that's been dropped and the owner was too tight to repair properly"

It's sensible advice.

You've got a pretty bike that's on it's way to becoming a classic, and are considering butchering it into yet another manky chavvy abortion that will at best look like it's been thrown down the road and repaired on a budget.

For the bike's sake, sell it to someone who will appreciate it, and buy yourself the bike that you actually want.

Oh, and welcome to BCF, where your feelings are neither special nor protected.

At least with the fairings it looks like a proper 'bigger' bike. A lot of people think they are 250s or bigger. Junking the fairings makes it look like a 125 learner and I also have to disagree; I think the naked NSR looks rubbish.

Would keep it as is. Pointless removing stuff. You'll never get it back to how it was.

Yes, it will fit and it's all that you need.

And if it doesn't, then you deserve to suffer for wasting your money on an abusive modification.

When I was 17 I had an NSR125. When I passed my test it went to my brother. He decided to modify it. It is now a Frankenstein bike that has not been on the road in over nine years. Ride the bike, keep it original. It will sell much easier when it comes time to move up.

I have an NSR 125 JC22 (foxeye).
Used it for 4 years, have kept it the last 3-4 in the garage.
Always thought I'll do something about that fairing to make it look better...
I even have a spare rear sub frame and entire rear fairing from an R6 to go on there...

That being said, the last few months, I've seen a few NSR pictures and I'm beginning to think I actually like the original styling more...
I think I'll keep it as is...

Maybe I'm just getting old and chunky blocky fairings become more attractive with age?

After thinking ive decided to keep it how it is, what ive realised though is that either there are alot of old crusty men here or some people wives just dont give. Matey who decided to stick Middle Finger This up can suck my ... Rolling Eyes
...understand when i say your opinion isnt a reply to my question(or anyone elses)..so before some of you people decide to bring your problem minded mentality to mine or others topics you should realise your wasting your own time. 3 posts were useful, thanks

Put your dummy back in and you might realise that all the replies were useful, especially the first one.

You are of course free to make your big mistake, but don't demand validation for it. You may have gotten used to Safe Spaces in school but they don't exist in the grown up world.

I bought a raiden may years ago when I was younger , thinking it was actually a crashed and bodged foxeye. was in metallic pink with yellow lettering. spent a small fortune buying fairing , brackets and new lights (800 quid alone). all bolt on parts no hassle , imagine it would be just as easy to bolt on raiden bits.... I actually quite like the look off the raiden now

Sell it and buy a Suzuki Rg Wolf 125, if you hate fairings so much. Its near enough the same bike as an NSR, that's if you can find one that's running and not knackered.

Which brings us back to just keep your std NSR and just look after it and ride it.
