Are there any decent cameras available for the RPi yet? Last time I looked there was just one with a fat ribbon cable on a chunky pcb. I'd love to build a motorcycle specific action camera around the RPi but not with that crappy camera.

IOT looks like its going to be a big thing for the Pi .......if they add built in WiFi/blue tooth on the pi zero its going to make smart home projects very affordable for a bit of fun!

Of course under full load it's going to be pushing higher temperatures. It's not got a cooling system to distribute the heat.

If you're going to be maxing out a Pi, or any computer, it makes sense to have adequate cooling. It's a board for projects, and if your project involves maxing it out all of the time, then your project includes a cooling system.

This is the first one that feels more like a complete useful product, than a solution looking for a problem. (I appreciate there are some good pi based 'products' already.)

I was tempted to get one on relaease day, but that I had to try and remember the problem I had worked out for the solution, suggests my need wasn't that great.

Still more interested in the Pine A64 for the price.

That definitely seems to be a solution looking for a problem - would have thought a 256gb SSD would be better for not much more cash.

I'm surprised there is such a market for them. I use one but mostly because it combines easy access to low level peripherals whilst running normal code at high speeds with little effort. It's possible to do it with an ARM, but the effort required on the hardware side is ridiculous in comparison.

I think there will come a point in the next 10 years were hardware won't even matter anymore.

CPU's will be so fast, you will only need 1, HDDs so big, only 1 needed, etc, etc.

Tech is getting pretty impressive now as we move in to VR and other emerging technologies.
