Just read this but can't find any other details anywhere. The caption on the photo is "in-helmet bluetooth motorcycle rear-view system" which sounds interesting but the lack of web presence other than a Twitter account and a single article feels like vapourware. Anyone heard of this before?

this guy John Hale dont need no in helmet cam over engineered system.... he needs to get the bus...

"John Hale was working at a Hampshire design company when he had a near-fatal accident on his motorcycle. “It was a near miss,” Mr Hale explains, “a not-infrequent event when riding a motorcycle. I was changing lanes on the M27 and was nearly wiped out by a car going past me in my blind spot.”

Arriving at work and still in shock, he was complaining to a casual colleague, Mark Pleydell, a physicist, over coffee that he could have benefited from something to help him see what was behind him. After all, it wasn’t the first time something like this had happened.

On other occasions, he explains, he’d been peering intently into his mirror to try and see what was behind him, when a car in front suddenly came to a near halt and he had to take swift action to avoid ploughing into it."

Yamaha Viagra 535 mirrors will sort out your rear view problems.

Each one is like a cars rear view mirror.

Yeah but it costs £1000, people will pay that to believe they can justify not doing lifesavers to all of their pauper friends that don't have one Wink

I genuinely have a dear view mirror problem, my shoulders and arms fill the buggers (I'm not built to normal scale) so that's interesting.

I have tiny little mirrors and just move my arm in when I want to see what is behind me.

For the thread topic, what's so hard about turning your head and looking over your shoulder?

It's just more vague vapourware, expect the usual Kickstarter begging campaign soon.

Surely with a skully or suchlike one has a rear view but still needs to look over the shoulder to see beside and slightly behind?

I had some 60mm chrome rods with a male m10 thread on one end and a female thread at the other, good for extending the mirrors with a cast boss at the handlebar, a straight rod, and a mirror that screws onto that. Similar to these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SET-OF-BLACK-10MM-MIRROR-EXTENDERS-EXTENSIONS-MOUNTS-60MM-100MM-/131523988409?hash=item1e9f70cbb9:g:MO4AAOSweW5VZvb7

On the bandit i have some delrin block that do similar. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SET-OF-BLACK-10MM-MIRROR-EXTENDERS-EXTENSIONS-MOUNTS-60MM-100MM-/131523988409?hash=item1e9f70cbb9:g:MO4AAOSweW5VZvb7

Both are helpful. Also check aftermarket mkrrors for convex glass, i had some shitty £6.99 ybr mirrors that had a decent field of vision when then they werent vibrating. Couldnt get my extentions in them though. Was seeking replacement when i killed that bike.
