Hi all.

I want to change my gamma front end and swingarm.

So I can use different rims and brakes.

One thing that comes to mind.. drum to disc conversion...
Possible?

Does anyone know what bike I can get a swingarm off to fit the gamma which uses disc.

I'm hoping to buy a donor bike with both forks and swingarm which will come with wheels and brakes.

Or 2 bikes one for front end one for back end.

Does anyone have any ideas or known tested methods?
Thank you

Regards

Waste of time!

Seriously whats your valid reason other than the because I want to bollocks to want different wheels, brakes and suspension on the Gamma?

They are an old bike, and look an old bike. But a restored one in fine condition will ride well, and have more than enough brakes and suspension and grip with modern tyres for its 12/25bhp.

If you want to fuck with one for looks, then you bought the wrong bike, and should have got a 92> RG125F instead. Those bikes can be made to look a bit more current and have some parts interchangeability with the RGV250.

The Gamma is a mid 80's bike, but a nice one is a good bike and does not need someone coming along thinking they can improve it with tacking on various crap from other bikes?

Looks like priller running gear on that shed you've linked to. Kickstart shoud be able to discern the model.

That's an RG80 Gamma I would say looking at the puny engine. Looks aweful and the front brake is far to big for 80cc. But they don't know how to modify bikes over there!

It's back to what Blue and others said about an old bike/frame being over tyre'd and having too much stiffness in the forks and swingarm that would show up the frame limitations.

Buy an RG and keep it close to std, or do a naked version if your fairings are all smashed and ready for the bin.

Otherwise buy an RG125F model as it has at least as good suspension and brakes as the thing you linked up, but with a proper stiffer beam frame.

.

Yes. It's the same as with a mountain bike.
Nip that in the bud then.
