You can choose not to depending on your outrunning skills.
Also cyclist going through full red lights slowly could just as easily jump off and push the bike through.

Playing devils advocate again. How far do you go in sourcing blame?
For example if someone's on a bike instead of a motorbike should we blame the state for him being there on a bike to cause such accident.

Another example is someone on a bike on a dual carriage way because a more sensible road is being used by boy racers in hatchbacks,chavs etc?
