So a pheasant decided to fly into me this morning on the motorway from the hard shoulder, I thought luckily it just bounced off after exploding and when I got to work I found what I think is the beak impact zone. I thought the best way to repair is either make a plug and glue in or fill with putty from either front or back then find a decal to put over the spot or sticker Shocked .
Not overly thrilled but the bike was bought to commute on so I expected something at some point.
Any recommendations on the repair

'Speed hole'

I'd not worry too much, sods law is that you'll sort it and then drop it.

Make it round, stick a rubber blanking grommet in there, forget about it.

After a closer look tonight it seems theirs a plastic mount right behind the hole which seems to carry electrical wires, looks like the impact caused it to break and leave a hole, nothing loose on the fairing though. When I get time I will fill the hole, need to find a similar blue tape or vinyl. Ah well.
Thanks for the link D.A.

Take fairing off, put a patch of epoxy fibreglass on the back. Blue touchup paint on the front.
