Afternoon.

My YBR custom 125 (2010 model) has an exhaust hanging on by wire. I'm desperate to replace it, but yet.... I can only find a replacement in the region of £500.00

Can anyone provide a link for a replacement that won't cost more than the bike is worth?!

Many thanks,

Paul.

You could try asking Learner Legal...

https://www.learnerlegal.com/contact/info_2.html

... if the exhaust for the JS125-6C is a straight replacement.

Does your exhaust have an oxygen sensor?

Thanks for that. I shall try them!

...and yes... It has the sensor. Other companies have said a ybr 125 exhaust will fit, but on delivery the "normal" exhaust will not fit, I.e. No sensor, rear bracket in incorrect position, thus the nightmare!

OK, the Jianshe exhaust won't have a hole for a sensor. It is, however, just a hole. Worst case, if it fits you could drill and tap through, although you may want to weld a nut or small piece of plate on for reenforcement.

Said it before, YBR Custom is a bitch for this very reason.

You can mount a standard YBR exhaust but you have to manufacture a bracket type affair with a bit of welding for the rear hanger.

I don't believe the Jianshe pipe fits without the same modification.

Hmmm, having no welding skills at all would make all this rather tricky. Thanks for your input though, and agreed re the Custom. It totally, totally sucks that you're expected to get an original exhaust for £500.00

If I had my time around again....

I had a ybr, great bike, not the custom though... 500 quid for a standard exhaust! Same price as a DAS course....jus say'in.

I'd be tempted to look at getting your exhurst in for repair at a metal fabercators if not a local garage, where's the rot?

Ha re the DAS course. It's a valid point.

Don't ask re where rot is. The things snapped good and proper.

The original exhaust was pretty shit too. Say no to the custom model people!

Aye, those need a welding for the rear bracket and there's no oxygen sensor. But needs must maybe.

Thanks for the input!

Stay safe.

Pretty sure you can get a real custom one for less that £500, have a google for some companies But I know I can get a hand made 2 stroke exhaust for <£200 and I have seen some cafe racer project builds where people get custom exhausts made for their bike, can't see it costing £500.

Thanks for replying!

I've searched, and searched but mixed with no metal work skills of my own and not much cash, I'm screwed.

And not in a good way!

Fingernet, could you recommend a custom exhaust builder?
