Get yourself a copy of Bike Trader and call all the companies in the back. Once you've got it down to the cheapest few call back around them "can you beat the quote of £xyz I've got?" Repeat until none will go any lower. It'll take a couple of hours but for the money you'll save its worth doing.
There is no one cheap insurance company, different companies all give different prices dependant on your age, the bike, your area, what cover you want, garaged/alarmed/other security, how long you've had your license, any points/claims, what your job is, what excess you have on the policy, if you have legal cover and/or breakdown cover, etc etc etc. Everything they ask you on the phone gets taken into account basically. |

Everyone has different experiences but Norwich union quoted me £1036 for TPFT on my CBR600 with full licence and 1 years no claims at 23yrs old. Didnt quote me happy.
I phoned loads, a lot are brokers who kept getting me back to a company called Zenith whos quotes seemed to vary on a day to day basis.
Carole nash was £450, Bennets was £480. Best worked out as express insurance 08001974533. They got me it at £350.
good luck

Literally just got off the phone and renewed mine.
Swinton Bike Insurance: 31 Year-old, 1 Year NCD, License for just over a year, 2004 Yamaha Fazer 600S, Fully Comp: £275 - Including full UK and European Breakdown Cover + Leag cover etc.
Beat my Yamaha Insurance renewal by nearly £70! And I thought they were good. ____________________ Colin McRae MBE 1968 - 2007 RIP

that seems very expensive, when I first got my NSR - no NCB, no car license, only a CBT, TPFT - I paid £300ish for my insurance. I think that was with Bennetts. So definitely shop around, you ought to be able to get TPFT for cheaper than that.
I'm also with H+R now, they were the cheapest I could find! (Norwich Union I've always found to be pricey) ____________________ "The problem with the French is they have no word for 'entrepreneur' " George W Bush

Yes, same here, about £350 for a 20yr old, CBT, no NCB, 100cc moped.
Unfortunately, cannot tell you the name of the company, and it was done through RAC (who find the best quote for you). I have it written down somewhere but I cant be arsed to look for it |
