My Spring valve keepers are popping out? GN125

Hi guys, still an absolute novice, so ive probably done something really stupid.

Basically I'm rebuilding my engine and i am struggling with my valve spring keepers. I can turn the engine over a few times manually and then it jams up. when i take the cover off to see whats went on, the keepers are loose on one side. any suggestions as to why this might be?

Sounds like you don't have the collets in fully/properly.

I normally give the valve head a tap with a hammer after seating the collets and removing the spring compressor to make sure it's all where it's supposed to be.

Sounds like the head's going to have to cme off again.

As above otherwise the valves and/or the collets are damaged.
