I got caught within 30 days of passing my car test, about 10 years ago, years before I got a bike. Quite good value

I did the speed awareness course for 36 in a 30.
By the end of the day I fully wished I had taken the points and fine.
Wasting a day with a bunch of fucking mindless drones, never again.

I'm in the New Rider probationary period but even still I would take the points any day.

Mine was fucking dumb why I got the points in the first place. There were these temporary road works lights on a busy road, traffic tailing back for a fair distance and the lights only seemed to let 3 cars through and go back to red for 5 minutes.

I filtered slow as fuck up the outside of the traffic, going over a zebra crossing at about 5mph, just as the lights turned green and zipped off.

Unknown to me, traffic copper was walking along the pavement back to his car and saw me filter on the zebra crossing, takes my plate and turns up at my house 30 mins later with smug twat face on. Then he tried to imply that I had seen him and rode off.

Well fuck you cunt, I didn't see you so don't try and make shit up.

I genuinely wasn't aware you couldn't do that, see people do it every single day myself, loads of vloggers do it on YouTube, etc. Apparently that's 3 points... meh.

They said on my speed awareness course people walk out & take the fine/points, and I can see why. 4 hours of BS surrounded by a bunch of mongs, but for me at least taking the points would have made a big difference to insurance premiums.

Why does everyone on here who has done one of the courses say that everyone around them is retarded or stupid?

I'm curious what the courses are like, sure I'll get one one day though unless they scrap it for realizing it doesn't work.

I did one a while ago.
I managed to arrange the course to fit in with my day off from work, so it was no great hardship. The time soon passed and I ended up quids in.
Anyone who prefers taking the points plus financial penalty is a fool.
