Hi guys
New to this forum, new to biking.

Wondered is there a place that will remove wheels, powder coat them and refit. Based in Northwest (im in Northwich) or Manchester.

Or is it a case of remove them myself, have them powder coated and refit them myself. ?

have never removed a bike wheel before.... but very mechanically minded with regards cars....
Theres a place in manchester "the wheel-specialist" who do cars, you literally drive in, leave the car, they remove wheels, remove tyres, blast, coat, refit, balance, then refit to the car.. was just wondering is there such a place for bikes ??

Same place? Have you tried talking to them?

Or put bike on centre stand and a jack under the sump or use a pair of pit stands and take the wheels in by car. If they are unfamilar with bikes you may need to take the sprockets and brake disks off and knock out the wheel bearings. Nothing your local independent bike mechanic can't do if you can't work it out.

Personally i'd ask my local independent where they send parts for powdercoating. There's a good place near me that i've seen do all kinds of powdercoat, some of it on motorcycles. They're probably reasonably priced given the amount i dont pay for steel from there. Doncaster might be a bit for for you though. If not try polydon.co.uk

On cars we have had some issues with them cracking afterwards.
