Were they road legal, did they have a number plate ect. If not then they werent riding it legally. Riding on the road without a helmet is illegal, except for trikes.

One of the bike shops close to me, Trail & Track sells mini moto's with lights and speedo. The guy there, James said all you need is a number plate and you can use it on the road. Would be like a monkey bike Very Happy

Yep certainly true! A friend of mine picked one up today, his was a midi moto, not a mini moto. Nice little bike, pritty quick for its size as well!

Lots are just used for that but if you have one you'll find it is much more fun to ride it on a proper minimoto track (like a go-kart track but without the go-karts). Have a look on MiniMotoClub.com for places to ride near you.

Car park riding is okay but its very limited, ride on a track and you'll enjoy it much more.

Midi moto's are two inches longer than a mini moto so there's not actually much difference.

Mark, that guy in a shop you asked about it was nearly right. You'd need to get it road registered (have a look at the DVLA website if you're interested in how to do that), MOT, Tax, and find someone to insure you on it. The actual getting of a plastic number plate is the easy bit. Smile

Used to have a Pasini Proddy 8.5 midimoto.

Great fun when I wasn't trying to figure out how I'd broken it. Laughing
