Worth a try, although the new keeper slip number should already have been used in the previous change of keeper. Still, costs nothing to try.
Question: if you ride it without VED and it gets pinged on ANPR, where is the bill going to go? Or a speeding NIP? This is why it's the previous keeper's responsibility to tell DVLA about the change, not yours. Enjoy your consequence-free riding. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Ive tried that but for that i need the latest V5 (or even the just the new owners bit).
Its not the previous owners problem, he explained the situation beforehand. I'm just trying to avoid having it as another garage ornament for however long it will take DVLA to sort their side out (bet the cheque gets cashed sharpish though.....)!
Thanks anyhow! |

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

Did the previous owner tax it?
Because you may just have found a flaw in the system. As the RFT is only cancelled when the V5 is submitted and the previous owner can't do that, as they do not have the V5.
You sir are onto a winner
This also begs the question of why they sold the bike so quickly after buying it?
I would not count moving as a good excuse. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
