Need to flush mines and replace. Not sure if any of the more expensive brands are worth it over standard 50/50 mix?

I just buy Comma concentrate (red) and dilute it myself.

You can get branded coolant?

50/50 mix from wherever for me. Usually the blue stuff.

Yea, stuff like engine ice for example.

The only thing I'm worried about is that it should be compatible with aluminium radiators.

Meh, race engines have to run just water, so there's no performance benefit.

Only thing you might can is a longer service life. Can't say I've ever lost an engine from corrosion from the coolant. Thumbs Up

I use Silicate Free OAT coolant (eg Halfords pink stuff)

In theory it's long life, suitable for ally blocks and won't feck the water pump seals.

I also flush through with distilled water first, not necessary if sticking to a particular type of AF, but only costs £1.50 and 10mins extra on the job.

You can use tap water to flush, but apparently the chlorine interacts badly with anti-freeze. I'm not convinced tap water has significant amounts of chlorine to do this. But for the sake of £1.50, I use distilled water for the flush.
