I like to think that all of the nuclear "waste" will one day be used to generate power. If it is still dangerous then it must have energy.

I wont pretend to know science but if we're using fission right now which generates radioactive waste then will we be able to use fusion to make that waste safe while also generating electricity? The problem with fusion seems to be slowing down the reaction.

Either way, not really important to the EU debate because China are already looking to throw cash our way for nuclear power stations right?
