GF's laptop is bruk. Need the thing in the title! Can anyone recommend a generator or solution (image?) or generate me a code?

Regards,

Jack

What does she actually use the computer for?

My solution would be Ubuntu Gnome. It looks fairly appealing and will access Facebook just as well as the next operating system, except without hogging many resources.

I've just installed a bloatware-free Win 10 on the GF's PC (using the same serial as the bloatware version) and I'm not a fan of it. I'd stick with an older version or make the switch to Linux (which is really friendly for everyday tasks on a distribution like Ubuntu). I installed Ubuntu Unity on my mum's laptop years ago and I was never asked a single question on how to use it, because for basic use pretty much everything is the same.

What OS did her PC come with? If 7 or 8 you could re-install that OS using the serial normally on a sticker on the computer and then use the free upgrade path.

Or, if that doesn't work, and you're dead set against Linux, KMSpico from mydigitallife should do what you're asking. Just download it from the forum mentioned, and not any link that comes up on Google, as I believe some of the Google results aren't clean.

Thanks for this but I don't fancy dealing with all the issues that would inevitably arise! Razz She is Chinese thus dealing with these things becomes quite a lengthy journey.
