How would I go about doing this? I'd like to be able to use the TV to access the Internet / netflix without having to use the ps3.
Don't need it to connect to anything illegal Smile

Thanks

Why don't you want to use the PS3? it does a pretty good job of it.

Buy this to make it more convenient.

Death first. Feckers are still stopping Kindle Fires from talking to Chromecasts. Mad

+1 fire stick.

Put Kodi on it (costs nothing) and get free TV shows and films.

He just wants simple smart tv from it, the firestick is the best option at the starter pricepoint.

And it would have been simpler to just let Germany have Poland. Folded arms

You're not wrong, in practice.

I haven't got one of these, but they are small computers so can do everything you want and have the option to expand it further if you wish.

Amazon Fire TV is £65, but this is half price and surely worth a look

They are not automatically illegal, you have to go and download the extra bits to make them naughty.
If you just want iplayer, ITV hub, 4od and access to your legit Netflix account AND have Chrome available.

£30. You can get a decent sized RF keyboard for £10-£30 depending on brand.

That said, the reviews seem a bit of a mixed bag.

EDIT:
Sorry, it's £40, the £30 appears to have the same specs, but sold through a different supplier and has worse reviews, so maybe not

If you don't need 4k then the Amazon Fire TV Stick is £35. You can also power it from the TV's USB port so is a tidy install.

Firesticks are provided with a USB plug, so even without a USB port in your TV, you can still use it. (needs HDMI though).
