evening dudes.

looking at somewhere to doss down for a bit after getting off the ferry at dunkirk at the weekend. I'm on either the midnight or 2am ferry over, so I'll be arriving early hours... unavoidable, finish work at 530pm in Devon...

I think a short run to Lens be fine as then skip the metaphoric "port tax" on hotels


TL:DR ... are the cheapos like formule 1 automated check in 24 hrs?

Yes they are all automated 24 hr check in and quite a few other cheapy french hotels are, most will be sited quite near each other probably not far from a Buffalo Grill Smile

They are automated but speaking from experience i'd book a room just in case. I've rocked up to F1 hotels late before and not been able to get a ticket.

They are generally on a retail park with several similar hotels nearby.

Personally prefer Premier Classe Hotels. You have your own bathroom for a private poo Thumbs Up and not much more expensive.

I use them all round Europe. You can book in advance and just need your credit card to get in if they are unmanned reception.

Premier class stink of disinfectant, gets right on the chest, FI, Etap and Ibis budget do not.
