Wooden shed everytime.
If it was California maybe a metal or plastic shed but it's high humidity here and a wooden shed will breathe and generally be more 'drafty'.
Why not take your time and build your own. They're very simple to construct. Or go for a cheap flatpack one and accept it'll only last 6-10 years.
£1200 is a serious amount for a 10x8. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud

Metal and plastic = condensation. Especially with a nice hot bike inside. I'd say wood, it's the same reason vans are ply
lined, to take the knocks and bumps and also to prevent condensation inside the back.
My 12x8 shed was 600 quid delivered and assembled from a place in the the Midlands. Very happy with it, got it from these guys.
Paid cash on delivery. https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/atsheds2000?_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2754
I have modded mine and bulked it up a bit, but largely speaking it's a great starting point for a mancave. The only
difference I can spot is that the roof of mine was made from T&G and it looks like they are using OSB now for roof panels.
I swapped the glass in mine for Georgian wire opaque plate glass to keep prying eyes out and added some lighting
and a simple but structural bench.
This is a slightly smaller version of mine.

Gave it a coat of fence life last summer and it looks brand new again. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

I have a Keter 8'X8' plastic shed. I get zero condensation in it as it has vents at the apex. Completely watertight and with a built in floor. Quick to put up, wont rot and 100% watertight.
Wood, by it's very nature soaks up water and rots. Plastic doesn't.

Draw plan, work out quantities, buy wood, fixings and roofing materials (EPDM is easiest and best), build shed.
Make it bigger than 10 x 8 if you can. I have a 4m x 3m shed I use as a workshop and I could do with bigger. |
