Just thought Id say hello!
Did my CBT nearly two years ago and only just got around to buying a bike. Got a Yamaha SR125 low mileage too!

I'll get around to uploading some pics soon.

Are you going to re-do the CBT and stick with tiddlers, or get licensed up? Riding a bigger bike should help to make up your mind pretty sharpish. Wink

Re-take the CBT and get some more riding experience I think. Maybe in a year or two I might get something with more cc's

You'll be putting in for your full test before the end of summer.

An SR 125? You poor sod. Oh the memories, the horrible memories. I rode one during my CBT and couldn't get along with it, at all. Gearbox being a pain in the rear end mostly although at the same time my riding was equally as bad so is an unfair comment given the rider probably contributed to most of the issues at the time. See the first response to this thread from Borg, and that's how you'll feel once you do your first day out on a bigger bike. Book in for some training / tests when you feel you're confident enough on your own 125 and ready for something with more power although at the same time don't view a tiddler as the be all of bikes and something to stick on for longer than you need to, it really does get painfully dull very quickly.

I found it a horrid bike as well (although similarly it was my first time on a bike), but everyone I know who's owned one has loved the thing. One guy I know still has his after 2+ years Confused

Edit: forgot to say hello... hello Smile

Hello!

Don't do what I've done and convince yourself the DAS is too expensive and forever put it off... I'm on my 3rd CBT (300 QUID) and if I'd cut a few beers out when I was younger would easily have had the money... Don't stay on a 125 too long, is easy to pick up the bad habits that not having enough power can force you into... The more torque you have, the quicker you can get away from the loonies in cages...
