My neighbours have tried to play the Traveller card with the council recently, this despite the traveller family the claim to be related to having not a clue who they are. Thing is their attitude to anyone who can be identified ad either remotely non white British christian caucasion is decidedly racist. Hence the thread. For my next thread I'm considering asking if self indulgent self martyring clinically obese people are an unacceptable burden on the NHS and if so should the have remotely controlled valves fitted in the top of their stomachs so the state can control their calorie intake because clearly they cant control themselves.

Im an Irish Gypsy descendent, I understand that my great grandfather was some kind of Kingy person in the gypsy world. I know my father is treated rather well when he goes over there. However i have never had the urge to live in a caravan unless it looks like the kind of motorhome that would cost zillions with storage for bikes and shit.

I do wonder though if my desire to move on is my diluted gypsy blood, longest ive lived in one place is 10 years, i get itchy feet but as I get older i cant be arsed to pack up another home, Ive lived in Scotland for 9 years and this is my 4th house. Im already looking for properties next to the sea again.

My snobby mother if she were still alive would consider me a pikey.

My great granny was from an Irish traveller family. She escaped and married into our lot who are big in Irish politics. I think in top trumps terms Irish travellers are the biggest point scorers in the British isles but not a patch on ones from Romania.
