With the risk that the underwriter won't let you switch the 125 policy to a big bike, and you end up with a token refund or even owing money when you cancel.
I did a year on a 125, but that was then and this is now. If you're intending to get licensed up then there's no good reason to waste time on a 125, especially if you're counting the pennies.
If you decide to ignore all this and go ahead, then there's still no real answer. Any cheap 125 out of warranty is going to be a risk.
Work out what you want to spend and when you're ready, buy the best condition bike that comes up for the least money. YBR, CG, CBF, whatever's actually available. Don't limit yourself to one model or marque or you'll pass over good bikes while chasing a perfect one. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

From your responses & others in my previous post, seems that ditching the 125 & going straight for the full license is the best rout.
