So I'll soon to be getting rid of the 2013 Street triple R, mixture of reasons, mainly I want to free up a little cash as I don't get as much time to use it these days, but also as I fancy a change, its a great bike don't get me wrong, but it doesn't have me gagging to get out on it.
So I decided to see about taking a look at an old itch, the Kwak zrx1100/1200R.
Went all the way to Penzance from Bristol today to view a zrx1100, it wasn't great despite his description sounding very positive, so pretty much 6 hours of driving wasted. However I got to ride it, he said it had zzr1100 cams and had been jetted to the fitted exhaust system. I have to say I was very impressed with the torque and feel of the bike as a whole. Very meaty and sounded great.
Despite that particular one not being on my radar any longer, I'm sure it's what I am after.
I have found a wonderful looking example in Yeovil (2005 zrx1200 with 23k or so), but not a scrap of service history and he wants top dollar for it (£3800). Seems to have a bit of attitude regarding his price as well, so he can stick it.
There is a 2003 zrx1200R at a dealer, for £3599 with 20k on the clock, 5 stamps, pretty standard all round. What is the normal going rate? Anyone in the Kibworth area of Leicestershire that could take a look for me? Save me another 5 hours of pointless driving?
Anything I need to be aware of when buying? From owner reviews it seems a very tough bike capable of large mileages without issue.
Cheers
Mike

I looked at getting one of these years ago (well, the zrx1200s half faired version) but instead a B12 came up cheaper locally.
They're meant to be great bikes though. Heavy, quite large but grunty old things. Wozza at FastBikes ran a green ZRX1200R as a long-termer and it looked awesome.
