I can't remember the last time I changed a rear without having at least 2 repairs in it.

I know why, filtering in London means you pick up all the shit off of usual lines.

Any methods of protecting them? I'm running Michelin PR4s.[/code]

Bit extreme, and not suitable for most people, but I ride with mousses instead of inner tubes and can't get punctures.

Puncturesafe or Ultraseal.
25 notes will treat front and rear of a bike.

Doesn't affect handling and lasts to the wire/rayon pokes through the carcass.

You can call them and someone will inject the wheels or DIY. DIY is simple and cheaper.

You could put this in, not very popular when tyre change comes around, and will make it more difficult to fix a puncture it can't seal.

Same. It's all the roadworks and middle-of-the-road riding associated with filtering.

CBR had 2 puncture repairs (Stop n Go) in the rear by the time I changed it. Previous tyre had 1 repair too. My FZ1 currently has 1 in as well, and I got lucky with a nail the other day which didn't go through (was sideways into the tyre tread).

don't use this shit.
i used it and it put my tyres massively out of balance it felt horrible it doesn't set so its like having water sloshing around.

this is just a quick get me home fix.

You don't half fill them, it forms a film over the inside.
I don't use it on the bike but have it in trailers which always seem to have slow punctures or leaky rims.

I don't use slime but I use puncturesafe without issue.
On all my bikes and cars.

If you put the wrong dose in or if it hasn't been spread around the inside of the tyre you get a bit of wobble. But it goes away after a few seconds when taken for a run. Except if you put too much in then you would have to strip the tyre and clean it out to put the correct dose in. Sad

I did feel a bit of wobble in the front of a Sprint ST at about 120MPH but I drove through it.. Smile

I cannot fault that stuff. The only issue is some tyre places cry when you ask to get a tyre fitted to rims that have had it in. And they will say it still leaks.
It is very clearly explained what the limits are on the website. Anything that can be safely repaired can be safely sealed. Smile
