Sad way to go, and not that old.
I remember reading his book when it came out. Clearly an intelligent guy who could tell a good story, I always wondered how much of it was true and how much was embellished to sell a book.

from what I gather from a couple of chats with him its mostly based on facts without a lot of hamming it up for the book

My FB feed has blown up with pictures of Mr Marx posing with my friends of the toking kind - he seems to have posed with every 'head in the land (and, bizarrely enough, looks the same in every one of the pics, including yours!!) Wink

First book was awesome, rest of the books less so and the film was even worse. Laughing

I'm sure the guy was great bloke regardless of some of the organisations he worked with. Laughing

If you liked the Mr Nice book then Grass by Phil Sparrowhawk is even better. Thumbs Up

Snowblind by Robert Sabbag is also a good read.

the only thing that sounded made up to me, was the chat he had with another Welshman as he was ejected from America after being released from prison.

I rather suspect that was so through this made up 3rd person he could in composite form say what he thought about the USA?
