First Bike...

Hi there,

Ive 100% passed my A2 licence now and am now on the full look out for bikes. I am looking at a Suzuki Bandit 600 as a starter bike as it is within my price range (<£2000). Is there any thing else I could be looking at for that price range?

If anyone has any links to share to bikes in the London area, that would be great too!

From what I've researched*


Fazer 600 and SV650 have been popular choices.

Also: ER6N and ER6F (2005-2008 models, maybe slightly over budget).

Yup, not much to add to that. Stick with common bikes like those. Maybe an XJ600 if you can find a good 'un.

You could also consider a big single like the XT660R if one comes up, as it wouldn't need restricted as much. An older F650GS technically needs restricted but it's so close that I doubt anyone will care.

Also besides eBay, gumtree and autotrader should I look anywhere else for bikes?
