Made by Auto Fabrica of Southend. They take all manner of shonky old nails and turn them into something which is allegedly road legal https://www.autofabrica.com/. Their average price is £58,500.

Even if I was a trillionaire with £58,500 to burn on a custom bike I don't think I'd want it based on a plastic maggot thank you very much. Just look at those horrid cheapo pressings on the engine.

Really? I am sure that price is set just to stir the anger, rather than a serious request.

Also, poor cable routing, and a typical fail on leaving the footrests in the standard position. That's a lot of money for a shit ride. But then, it is not intended to be ridden...

Looks like one of those hipster bikes you see in city centres when the weather starts to warm up.

Hipstermobile. Stupidly oversized front tyre and complete lack of mudguards. Other than that, quite nice lines if you ignore the CX500 component...

No thankee.

I don't think it's that bad, I kind of like it. Not worth 58k though.

I think it's hipsterism gone mad. If the motor was something interesting e.g. the lump from a T150 Trident, I could understand the hundreds of hours of fabrication to build a special. But these Auto Fabrica people are using exotic things like the XS650 and the SR500.

First picture checks out, second picture looks beautiful, third picture... that shouldn't be the way you look when riding a £58k motorbike. You will look better riding a kitchen stool being honest.

Road legal??? Ignoring the C&U lack of front mudguard, number plate perhaps?

And the rider looks comfy (not) with their knees melting on the cylinder heads... no view of how they're getting on with the exhausts on the other side either !

Hard to see where £58k has gone there.

That's 80% of a brand new Egli Vincent black shadow.

Doesn't look like it would be comfortable or fun to ride.
Looks like a £58k piece of "art".

I doubt that anybody old enough to have the funds to buy that bike would be able to ride it for more than a few minutes.

I guess all the good bikes have already been butchered. There's an actual original CX500 up for sale locally - the chap reckons it's worth £2250. Even the skeletal corpse of a CX500 is asking £600.

''Allegedly road legal'' meaning it is not at all. There are so many MOT fails, that the MOT place would need to change the cartridge in their printer to print it all out for you. Thumbs Up

All the bikes on that site look like they have been parked somewhere and had a load of bits nicked off them.

I quite like the CX500. It's an industrial commuter bike, and hopefully not designed to look pretty lol. That bike however, is pointless.

If you can make a living by un-burdening the overly wealthy of their spare cash then why not?

Because it's not a victimless crime. Those poor, poor bikes that will never actually be ridden again. Crying or Very sad

I'd have at least expected an AC sanctuary CX650 turbo for that cash, with probably a Big CC or Holeshot racing big spec, big money engine build.

A CX500 in any form is still a CX500. They were shite back in the day (yes I was there back in the day) and they're still shite - trust me Wink

That's a bit harsh as I found them to be decent workhorses which just kept going.

I've never ridden one but I was very jealous of the couriers who had them when I was trying to make a living on a useless GSX250. I'd still like to have a go on the 650 eurothing:

I've never ridden one either, but the euro style later mono shocker's do look so many times better or less crap than the garden CX500 variety.

I think that euro 650 has potential with upgraded running gear, top shelf components and fancy bits of CNC alloy and titanium etc. If it had a big turbo set up and re-worked programmable injection, it could be some bike, and would handle better most likely than any Z1TC ever will too.
