Judges get a bad rep for leniency. One of them just let a teenager walk free after she armed herself with a knife, went round to a man's house, and stabbed him in the chest in a pre-meditated attack, in front of his children, while saying "I am going to kill you."

Verdict:

Two year Youth Rehabilitation Order with supervision. No jail, not even suspended. No fine. Not even the mandatory victim surcharge

Because why?

Because he's the nonce who fiddled her when she was 8, made her testify, destroyed her life, then walked free with a community order and has continued to taunt, harass and bully her.

He cannot be named, but... Bradford.

I'd be sad that she was half an inch off, but...

Long may he live with it. Every second of every day, just like she has to.

only if you are the victim, it's the pivotal fact in this case. the recipient of the stabbing was one Zabhullah Boota (couldn't make up one like that) according to the newspapers.

In the specific case of a victim who's been failed by the State, historically and ongoing, what other recourse does she have? Go back to them, again, and be let down, again?

Run away and become a victim elsewhere? Off herself? I know which life I value more.

I'm calling that self defence to an existential threat.

Ah, here we go. Shocked, I am, shocked.

Interesting that he passed judgement on his colleagues previous sentencing, they're normally loathe to discuss it, considering one anothers sentences beyond reproach.

As much as I agree with the judge and the OP that the girl didnt deserve to go to jail, it does set a dangerous precedent of "we went too easy on him, so now we'll go easy on you" which isn't good, it would be much better if they just paid attention and got it right first time and put him away.

I don't understand how he got such a light sentence why the local scum haven't smashed this blokes house/face up.

Someone I know was done for paedo stuff, I don't know all the details but what I do know is the girl was 15 he was mid 20's, there was no intercorse, she was there willingly*. He also met her on an 18+ meetup website.

He got 4 years inside had his family home trashed and he had to leave the area.

I'm not making him out to be guilt free he knew what he was doing, but still seems very disproportionation to what that bloke got.

*Satutory aside it was *forced* is what I'm getting at.

Don`t you lot go on other forums and web-sites?
I would never advocate putting his picture up on other sites, that would be so wrong!

I'm not familiar with the area, but is it possible that the local community doesn't really consider that he did anything wrong?

In mitigation, it appears that he claims to be tarded and spazzed huzzah for cousin marriage, thus the non-custody.

If that's the case, then (especially given the cultural issues) I can see why he might genuinely not comprehend that he did anything wrong, or have any restraint in his ongoing behaviour towards the girl. But that's not a reason to let him continue it. The State doesn't have to make a moral judgement, but if it can't act to protect victims from ongoing contact with their abusers, then what's the point of it?

Followup question: why is a tard with a conviction for kiddy fiddling allowed custody of his own children? I mean, I get that he likes them, but...

Is it racism if your prejudices are confirmed again and again and again? When does it become simply rational common sense? Thinking
