PostPosted: 18:12 - 22 Apr 2016    Post subject: Passed A2 test [waiting for license problem] Reply with quote

Hi all.
I have problem
I passed my A2 test on 23rd March. I gave the license to instructor because he said he can send it.
Waited 3 weeks for it and didnt received. So i called them up the number at the back of pass certificate and they said they will put investigation and to contact them end of this week, I contacted them and they said they send letter yesterday [Second class up to 5 working days] with D1 application for to fill it out and send it back to them with pass certificate and then wait another 3 weeks for license.
I'm 19 Years old 20 this year, i passed my A2 license but the instructor wrote A on pass certificate. I need to send this certificate to them to GOV.
Question is
Should i send it as it is with 'A' and would it be possible that i would get full license ? or is it less likely and they will ask to redue MOD2 [whole test] because im 19 but says ''A''
or
Should i add ''2'' next to A where he wrote because there is some kind of space i could put it in same hand writing as he wrote the date ''23'' the ''2'' and make sure i get A2 or should i try and see if i can get A will there be any chances or they will ask me to redue test or what are the consequences ?

Thanks !

Truth = https://www.viewdrivingrecord.service.gov.uk/driving-record/licence-number

Any piece of paper or plastic that you happen to have is merely suggestive.

Do not mess with the certificate. That's an easy way for them to say it's been tampered with and claim it is forged or invalid.
Also, make a copy of it before you send it - once that's gone you have nothing to prove you ever took it. And make sure it goes by some means that gives you a signature on delivery.

So should i just send it as it is with the ''A'' as the instructor wrote and dont change anything and make copy /scan and copy print it ?

I would only send it in as an absolute last resort. It's your only record that you've passed, and they do not accept copies.

What I'd suggest is that you get in touch with the test centre and ask them if they can do anything. Drop by in person, take your pass cert, perform the appropriate rituals of feigning respect.

The thing is that i contacted DVLA and they made some investigation why i havent received and they said they cant prove that the egzaminator has send the license to them so they will send me tomorrow or tuesday i should get D1 form which i will have to fill out and then put Pass certificate with it. So should i put it as it is with 'A' or just add '2' so its ''a2'' and if i send as A can they say like but you are 19 its all fake and you have to redue your test ?

The DVSA examiner doesn't send them your old license, he destroys it and asks the DVLA to issue you a new one.

It's possible that they've knocked it back because the examiner did indeed key in "A" but you're not old enough to have that category.

So here's what I'd do. Again.

Go back to the test centre. Tell them that the DVLA have knocked back the license and that you've noticed that it's got the wrong category on the pass certificate. Ask them to sort out both of those things.

If you send that pass certificate off, you could end up having to do the test again.

Your choice.

Now you are being stupid. DO NOT TAMPER WITH THE PASS CERTIFICATE. Listen to Rogerborg and go to the test centre in person. Take the bus if you need to. Why are you asking for advice if you are not going to follow it?
