Restraining order. Have him banned from the whole damn town, say your GF's family are scared to set foot outside.

Bundle him into the back of a van, take him offshore with you, leave him "off shore" - see if he can swim home, while carrying a couple of crates of beer tied to his legs... also stuff rhubarb up his nose.

And you work away? Get a paternity test as soon as it's hatched.

If it's yours, put a ring on it, throat-punch grandad and prepare yourself for a lifetime of visits from the drama llama.

If it's not, bail hard and fast and don't look back.

Hmm, this guy destroys your home and your pregnant girlfriend has to go to hospital after barricading herself into a bathroom.
Ignore the, aww he's had a tough time recently, it's not him, it's the drink excuses.

Sensible suggestions have been made.

You`ve been given a few answers that tell you what you should/legally do.

I cant understand why you need to come on here and ask?
He smashed your house up and threatened your pregnant girlfriend.

Ring the popo (or get your missus to do it) and find out if he's been dealt with (if he was pissed there would be a delay), find out if he's been charged or bailed and what the bail conditions are - I'd assume they'll have bail conditions for him not to come near you address plus likely some others.

He's already been arrested, but if he's not been violent before I'm going to guess he will not be held in custody or eventually receive a custodial sentence. Anything like a restraining order or whatever it's called will be adhered to for a couple of weeks, which will be as long as it takes for him to go on another bender. Then it's drunken rage time all over again.
I'd like to be wrong, but I expect the police / courts will only do something meaningful once something far worse has happened.

Violent alcoholism eh?

The standard strangle wank gone wrong but this time it'll be combined with an alcohol enema (which also goes wrong).

Have fun.

Alternatively; you could phone the police and see what they've got to say.

It's your choice. Thumbs Up

if you claim on insurance will he have to end up paying at any point?

Just thinking the financial penalty might be an incentive to leave you all alone, although getting him banned from the town is a good one.

Negative to that. If nothing else, the insurance company have got better things to do than attempting to recover money from somebody who doesn't have any.

Compensation awarded by criminal courts that is paid by the offender to the offended will be approximately the square root of fuck all paid monthly over the next eleventy years and when they miss a payment the offended has to chase it up.

I'd be included to go out with him for a friendly 'clear the air' drink, then make sure he gets in an accident.

Nah there's been no 30 foot high geysers of shit coming from any off shore platforms...

My advice to the OP is wait until he comes around and then... 'self defence, guvnor!'

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
