Okay so I got a great quote for this bike, but then I was told by some other people (not by insurers) that whilst at rear wheel the bike is under 94bhp, at the crank its not. Should I just go with the insurance I got quoted, and be done with it? I really want this bike, and I have 1 year ncb on restricted er6f, I would obviously take the restrictor out on the gsxr, but I would have the restrictor certificate if needed. Does anyone know for sure if it's a legal a2 bike or not? And if not, how likely am I to get away with it for another year? |

Thanks for the education lesson on how engines work and transmit power. |

Legislators don't care about the real world. The definition is indeed:
“maximum net power output”, in relation to an engine, means the maximum net power output measured under full engine load;

Yes, there's an editard sperg who keeps deliberately removing the vital information that the 68.2–69.4 kW figure is rear wheel horsepower, not net engine power. Just follow the link and read the source, it's not rocket science. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
