Hi,
I have question about insurance as i found good deal for a white bike but i want it to make it look grey with blue accents. Do i have to put on the insurance that i have modification changed color sprayed it [ik i have to do it for log book so it says current color] but what about insurance.
Same with the exhaust for example if i want to buy exhaust so it sounds better do i have to put it on insurance do you guys put it ? It rises by 600£ a year which is quite much about 70% of normal price when i jsut want to put exhaust.
Before with my bike that i jsut sold i had different exhaust than standard from previous owner and i didnt put it as mod or anything . I had small accident not my fault there was guy to inspect and everything i got paid out and all so i dont know if its really important do put on insurance that i changed exhaust ?

My insurance company asked "Is the bike modified from factory standard?"
I said "I don't know, I haven't modified it, what kind of modifications do you mean?"
They said "Adding a Turbo, Supercharger or Nitrous"
I said "no" they said "fine".
I think they are just adding a random number to your modifications.

still someone wants to go with the rules first made car license because wanted car passed it before 18 and boom 5000£ for a fking corsa worth 400£ like ???? so then i bough motorbike cbt now A2.
But yeah i think they just mean like super mods like turbo and that but if i change exhaust or like add fly screen or change grips its not like i have to contact with them with every little thing. Will just get this bike maybe tomorrow 3000£ for xj6 2009 6000 miles, i contacted guy he said been garaged and didnt ride often as he got car only rides sometimes on weekends thats why low milage looks clean and like he care for it clean all looks fresh . So will go tomorrow maybe see it how it feels and runs and maybe get it then add exhaust for nice sound and paint it grey Very Happy
Btw i read and watched tons of vids and articles but what are your opinions for A2 riders ? is it better to go with unrestricted 300cc bike or 250cc or go with restricted 600cc such as xj 6

In English? I'm glad you know what you're talking about because I don't. The will to even want to attempt to decode your posts has long run away into the sunset.

Simple answer is simple don't declare the bloody tankpad in the first place and there's never going to be an issue, is there? If you crash and wet your knickers thinking they're going to chase you for a payout because you didn't declare it then get a heat gun or hair dryer and remove the thing.

So much issue out of a non issue. I feel for other road users when you actually get to the owning your own bike part.

XJ6 and *19 (he doesn't own an XJ6, window shopping both quotes and bike).

* IIRC from his other thread about A on his certificate when it should be A2.

What's it got to do with the country?
It's the insurance companies not the country!

Unfortunately I didn't understand anything you said in the 17.33 message. I appreciate English isn't your first language but it really makes no sense to me at all.

You all have to agree rules in this country aren't really logical.
You put loud exhaust and you lose your license because its loud ?, How this should affect your license, license its a proof of ability to ride it, i can ride with or without loud exhaust so why giving points for having loud exhaust. 20mph on road which no one follows, its more dangerous than safe, my friend got black box in car he needs to follow all signs, he went so slow and everyone was going 30-34 where sign was 20.
Im not offending country, country is nice i like it nice places to visit etc etc. Im going to college on bike , i can spot such big holes in middle of the road that if i rode into it i would fly out of bike. After about a month they sprayed around the hole with white spray and i dont even count but maybe another month or 2 months and they finally fix it ? how long it takes to fix fking hole, you have to do some investigation or something. But anyway i live in this country so have to or try to think british and follow the rules and laws even if i don't liek them i still need to follow them because im here so have to get over it but at least here i can tell you all my butthurt about it.

So i just said that i follow the rules, laws etc. So i wanted a car first i pass my test for car without realizing how insurance companies ripping people off. So then i decided to do CBT rode 1 year on my 125cc and did my A2. And then ''but yeah'' it wasnt like saying to all of you it was just saying to the guy above which i couldnt be bother to quote. I said that i now know and think that they just not care much about exhaust change or fly screen or small changes like grips tail tidy etc.etc. when they mean mods they i think means super mods like turbo charger or tweaks to engine etc because i dont think any of you are calling insurance waiting on hold 20 min just to tell them you bought new mirrors that doesn't come as standard with the bike. I dont really know what don't you get it from there but then i said that i will maybe get the bike tomorrow the one i was looking for 3000£ xj6 from 2009 but had 6000 miles on clock. I contacted the guy on sunday i think and he said its been garaged and he doesnt ride it often just weekends thats why milage is low and it looks clean and fresh. So maybe i will get this bike tomorrow which is today but unfortunatelly i wont get it today will wait till sunday maybe i will find some better deals and decide 100% which bike i want as i wanted mt 07 but its a bit too expensive.

And then i asked what are your opinions for A2 riders ? Is it better to get higher cc bike eg 600cc xj6 and put on restriction or to get some 300cc thats unrestricted ?

Overall, during summer i might go some small trips or maybe to europe few times france or something, and later after september for work and some rides on weekends. Mostly im looking for sound and look. The 600cc+ bikes i found and i like are mt-07 and xj6 which mt-07 is a bit overprices the used bikes as i would get it for 4000£ but they are all start from 4500+ no matter if it oldest model and 10 000 miles so i wont buy this one because i just add 700£ and have brand new so the most i would buy mt-07 used one for is 4000£, Im looking for some other non restricted bikes 300cc but cant find anything good. My budget is about 4000£ for the bike that wont need to be done anything 4000£ bike that i could ride happily or for example as im planning xj6 for 3000£ and will buy some parts to make it look good so about 1000£ so budget limit is 4000£
