It's a Husqvarna Nuda.

This is one of his exhaust videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLRY81Gkty8

Agree it sounds amazing, however it's partly the way he does the recordings with a separate sound recorder (probably a zoom) - this greatly enhances the bike exhaust note even though it's loud to start with.

The baffle. It quietens the exhaust. Many exhausts these days have removable ones, either a screw or a clip. When you remove it it gets louder.

It's just part of the design, probably aids assembly. Even if it were riveted in, you could drill out the rivets.

Watch this video, it's about car exhausts but it explains all about them

i think, iirc, he actually has a video about the sound of the nuda.

It has a lot to do with the 315degree crank config and the exhaust porn he has on it.

Yup. You won't get that sound out of an IL4, or even out of a 360 crank twin like my 800 on which the Nuda's engine is based.

The Nuda is specifically designed to produce that organic heartbeat sound, and RJ has replaced the whole system with a free-flow, then had the fuelling redone to suit it.

RJ has loadsamoney to throw at his bikes: you won't get anything like that on the cheap.

Depends really on the can that he's using at the time, he switches between a Leo-vince and an Akra mod.

The akra can is actually from a Dorsodura 750 (has a split exhaust system) which he had to get a new link pipe made for it.

He's replaced the headers and binned the cat as well, remember. Just slapping a dustbin on the end won't produce that sound.

At 1.40 you can see the sound mic strapped to the offside rear foot-peg, so it's closer to the exhaust as well.

How about showing some consideration for all the people you would be inflicting the noise on?

It would give you a headache as well. I was sat next to a dude with a 1299 Panigale a few weeks back. Awesome noise but fuck it felt like my brain was shaking in my head I dont know how you could live with that in town on a daily basis.

TRX850?

(No, I'm not clicking the link!)

There are other options if you want that sound, of course:

I would prefer a 1967 David Brown Selectamatic myself.
