A question you ask, a google search you perform, reviews you look at.. all before you've pressed buy and entered into a legal contract with a company, surely?

I'm with them but, not really through choice, as they were the only company that I could find that would insure my er6f with a provisional licence.

Not really had any dealings with them as such though.

The only thing that I can say about them is when they gave me a quote online, it was for over £1,500. When I rang them up and gave them the exact same details, the price dropped to £356. Laughing

Used them for 2-3 years a while ago. Now using them again.

Never claimed with them (probably the best test) but they've been okay so far.

Amended my policy 3 times with an address, vehicle registration, and "other" details change mid-term without being charged.

Also added an additional rider whilst abroad for a reasonable price.

Can't complain to be honest, so far.

I'm with Bikesure, they are underwritten by Adrian Flux, who my partner also has his car insurance with.
I had an issue with uploading my documents to their fancy online system. I uploaded them but they never received them, and they didn't inform me for a month. I was still insured, I ended up emailing the scans to them, and they did email me back saying everything had been received.
I went with them because they were the cheapest, they seem ok so far.

I am with bikesure

Insured with just a cbt and no experience on a cbf125, 240 quid for the year for myself,
Probably doesn't mean alot as obviously there are alot of factors to the price,
Was the cheapest anyways

been with bikesure for a few years now.

never claimed.

they're pretty much like 90% of insurance companies out there.. every year you have to phone 'em and do the dance of 'why the fuck is my renewal that much when thebikeinsurer shows me i can get it half the price?' but there we go.

literally just renewed mine. £166 for the blade; can't be bad Smile

I've been with Bikesure for a few years, they seem to come out with a reasonable price each year for my Daytona, which I had to make them match to another company's quote a couple of years back. Otherwise they've been cheapest and they actually offer a good level of cover.

My only irritation with them was the sheer number of things I had to send them to get the policy enacted. Driving licence, limited mileage declaration, proof of no claims... Then about 10 days into my first policy they suddenly sent me another form demanding that I fit a particular approved disk lock to it, and send a further declaration form off that they'd forgotten to send me beforehand. I refused to send the surprise paperwork back until I had found the time to go and buy the lock they insisted on, and they started haunting me for it. I just told them it was their fault for not sending it when they should have done.

Once I'd got the lock I sent the paperwork off, and asked them if it reduced my premium with the extra security that they made me fit. Surprise surprise, it made no difference!

If you can put up with a bit of messing about at the start, then they're fine.

Yeh I don't get that either.

This time round they asked me to provide proof of installation of my alarm. Now its been listed as alarmed every year I've been with them. Can't remember if they asked for it before now but if not did they not care before or what? Seems a bit strange.

Think they just randomly choose what they ask you for

It's so they have something on you to refuse a payout. Did you have that incredibly good disk lock on your bike when it was stolen? You know Sir, the one that didn't improve your premiums! You didn't? Oh deary me...... Rolling Eyes

Or am I being a bit too cynical.

The only reason i used them was the price in fairness. £230 tpft had my license a day and have 3 points, for a bandit 600.
Once i had done my cbt the prices to insure a 125 cg125 were around 600. Ridicolous!

To be honest all I do now is go with the cheapest. I used to swear by Carol Nash with their multi bike policy but then they changed it so it became way too expensive.

Now I insure my bikes separately as it's cheaper. Ridiculous really as I can only ride one at a time.
