Hi im borrowing my brothers gilera dna 125 for a while and just have a few questions about it

when riding the bike feels unstable, the front wheel alwasy seems to drag to one side and can somtimes make it hard to keep the bike upright.also when riding it the other day the bike was dying on me then i pulled over and it backfired once.i then nursed it home and called a gilera dealer, they said these bikes suffer from this and might need new ht leads or spark plug cap.the bike isnt running that great at the moment and struggles to pick up speed.

bikes a 02 reg with 2700 miles.

anyone know a little about what could be the problem??

thanks

brett

For the front wheel problem, I'd check your brakes, they could be dragging on the disk, also check out the balance of the wheel. As for the other sorry couldn't tell you.

sounds like it needs a new spark plug, if its the 2 stroke version they eat though plugs about 1500-2000 miles. not very nice scooters they have been know to have a lot of problems.

With your front running to one side might be that your yokes and front forks are slightly out of stright position meaning you will be turning your front wheel slightly to go in a stright line.
This was the problem with mine and now its fixed, its easily fixed you can do it yourself.

Maybe so,but only as it is a 4stroke 125, try racing a 2stroke 125! but you wont be killing many saxos with that rs50.

On my nifty fifty dna, it was the fuel tap/filter that always used to get blocked, so i had to constantly put redex in it. Evil or Very Mad
