I got my CBT back in February (it took two attempts).
My partner got me a bike, and we finally brought it home last week. Got it repainted and ready to go a few weeks back, only to find out the bottom bearings were shot and needed replacing.
Had a practise on it today on some quiet back streets, and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought I would have forgotten everything after 3 months, but it came back to me very easily.
I was also worried about the size of the bike, it's a DT125 and I'm a very slim 5'6" lady. I can only get my toes on the floor. But I Needn't have worried, it is very stable, and easier to handle than the bikes I did my CBT on.
I managed to get it up to above 40mph a few times Smile I just need to get the hang of the acceleration on a 2 stroke.
Can't wait to start riding it to work now.
I enjoyed it today, it's quite fun to ride with the wind in my hair (I had a helmet on but my hair is very long), although it now has that bikey smell to it lol! Very Happy

Splendid work, especially the 2-stroke perfumed hair. Are you planning to run around for a while until you get your confidence up, then go on to A2/A training?

A decent DT125 might be worth hanging onto afterwards, they look like a great laugh.

The DT is a great bike Smile Take it easy, go at your own pace and you'll be fine.

Females use the internet too, you know.

Requesting pictures this early is a little hasty you might scare her away. Gently gently, softly softly.

If I can pontificate a bit, for your edification. One of the rules of the Internet is: "there are no girls on the Internet." This rule does not mean what you think it means.

In real life, people like you merely for being a girl. They want to fuck you, so they pay attention to you and they pretend what you have to say is interesting, whether or not you are genuinely interesting, or that you are smart of clever, whether or not you are actually smart or clever. On the Internet, there is no chance to fuck you; this means the advantage of being a "girl" does not exist. You don't get a bonus to conversation just because someone wants to put their cock in you.

When you make a post like "hurr durr, I'm a gurl," you are begging for attention. The only reason to post it is because you want your girl-advantage back, because you are too vapid and too stupid to do or say anything interesting without it. You are forgetting the rules, there are no girls on the Internet.

The one exception to this rule, the one way you can get your "girlness" back on the Internet, is to post your tits. This is, and should be, degrading for you, an admission that the only interesting thing about you is your naked body.

tl;dr : tits OR GET THE FUCK OUT

Disclaimer: This is copy pasta, but I just find it funny, no intentional disrespect intended.

Nice try guys, but no pictures Smile

I am planning on upgrading to a bigger bike when my CBT runs out.
Managed to get the bike quite cheap, so hopefully it will have some resale value, but we might keep it to just to run about on. My partner likes it as well, he's used to bigger bikes (has a Firestorm), but really enjoys the way the DT rides.

Sounds like a plan. You'll have great fun on your bike, and learn a lot of valuable skills. Be aware though that the moment you try something 500cc+ you'll be gagging for more of it.
