There is another small hole on the lower flat part of the upper eyelid which i think is the punctum... so i don't think it is that....

I'm not concerned I'm just intrigued

There is one on the other side but it's more hidden... my girlfriend noticed this one standing in front of me

OP could skip theeing the doctor and just go directly to the pharmacy because you can get such things over the counter without a prescription.

And there's the added benefit of not spending time sitting in the GP's waiting room that's full of disease ridden ill people.

Go to Boots to ask their pharmacist person about eye drops and see what they say.

Eye drops will kill whatever the germs are and make it cleaner, etc etc etc.

Over the counter stuff could easily be cheaper than getting a prescription and would be much less hassle.

You apparently have a punctum under both the upper and lower eyelid but the bottom one is used more frequently, ain't biology weird.

The reason I thought it wasn't the lower punctum was because it's clearly not in the lid but in that corner fleshy bit. I'll have a look tonight if I have a... Secondary lower punctum or more likely my lower one is just in a weird position.
