I haven't bought a bike for YEARS and quite fancy this one.

Is there a guide to bike values? Does it look reasonably priced having 7000 miles on the clock?

Any advice appreciated

A decent road bike if you're happy with 47bhp.

I think prices on these will drop considerably though in a couple of years. There are loads on the market after owners bought them new, and prices are only being held up by the fact that the bikes haven't been out that long.

It's in the ballpark for dealer prices, I don't think you'll get much cheaper even buying private. There are some lower mileage examples around, but probably not near you.

The usual caveats about dealer "warranty", and I'd check how much life is left in those tyres.

Devine's had a 14 plate with less than 1000 miles at a shade under 4 grand (a month ago). Seems to be sold now but that looked decent value. Most private sellers are still looking for big bucks - not worth it in my opinion. Also, go for one with the factory (albeit basic) luggage as you shouldn't pay much of a premium as they (mainly) came free.
