Does anyone know how much room there is under the seat of a carbed Fazer? i.e. not the underseat exhaust version. I've read "D lock & waterproofs" in some review or other - I need to get trainers & trousers in there...

There is loads of room relative to other bikes, but no way you're fitting trainers and armored trousers in. Work trousers might fit if you don't care about creases. Jeans + trainers be a squeeze.

rainsuit, bungee net, and a can of chain lube under mine... there's a little compartment right at the back for the toolkit behind a little flap.

trousers rolled up small... and only floppy trainers that can be squashed in. a pair of shoes wouldn't fit.

Yep, tonnes of room, got in there: Stock toolkit, first aid kit, meta alarm, puncture repair kit, gaffer tape, mini cans of chain lube and wd40, some bungies, spare glasses, visor cleaner'n'rag and asthma inhaler. Just need to squeeze a towel in there and I'll be prepared for anything!

Also, the bodywork in the tail section is hollow and easily accessible. I used to keep a can of chain lube, visor cleaner & waterproof trousers tucked in one side, and then a multitool, spanners and a can of tire sealant in the other side, then puncture repair kit in the section at the back in front of the rear lights (where I believe the original tool kit should have lived.)
Then in the 'main' bit was a disk lock, padlock and a 13mm pragmasis chain, with still room to spare.
So much space! My cbf doesn't have half as much room.

I used to keep a spare Bella Emberg under my Fazer seat, but now I have a CBR600F I can only fit a single Kylie Minogue in there.

Depends on trainers, if they go flattish like Adidas samba then yes, if they're basketball style size 16s then forget it

Low converse style. They would've fitted but ended up bungeeing a bag to the back. All that information went to waste...

Either lock your helmet to the bike, covered with a waterproof bag, or get a topbox

I'd imagine you can fit your helmet in fine, might hurt a bit when you lock the seat down over it though and can't imagine how you'd then ride the bike as you'd have to do it from the side most likely Thinking

On a lot of bikes you can fasten the chin strap somewhere under the seat and then lock the seat.

Doesn't stop people cutting the strap or smearing dog shit on the insides though.

Why would you ride the bike with your helmet under your seat? It should be on your head.
