What was it that he was planning to pocket?

I note with amusement but no surprise that https://www.yodel.co.uk/contact-yodel/ contains no clearly indicated way to make a complaint. Tsk tsk. Tut Tut

Yep, getting a parcel out of the van (it's in here somewhere) and then waiting to see if someone will answer a door is a few minutes. Posting a slip you wrote out while driving is 10 seconds.
Do 20 of those and you've just cut your working day a chunk.

Those on ££ per parcel though lose out. No delivery = No pay. That's why they tend to false sign, tie your cat to it, and throw it on the roof.

Happened twice to me, although both times it was Royal Mail, not a courier.
Both times the postmen didn't ring the bell or knock on the door, they hadn't even got the parcel out of the van, they just posted the "you weren't in" card!
Neither of them said a word when I caught them scuttling off!
Judging by what was in their vans I must be near the end of their route, because there can't have been more than half a dozen items in there! FFS!

F'ing couriers Rolling Eyes

I once had 'failed delivery' on the online tracking when I was in & knew they hadn't been, called up, soon after a disgruntled courier turned up asking why I didn't answer my phone. Maybe cos its your job to try and deliver the package, not call ahead fucktard.

Still better than UPS, who said they left it with a neighbour, when they actually dropped it off in Narnia and then tried to accuse my elderly neighbours of stealing it. I eventually got the package, only after they nearly delivered it to another wrong address Brick Wall

That was still better than DHL, who sent a letter about 2 weeks after the package was due to arrive, saying the area I lived in was too dangerous to deliver to Doh!

Almost as good as my local Royal Mail pillock who likes to play *Guess which Neighbor I've left your parcel with* by not writing the house number down,
or slinging a parcel into a 4 foot deep bush by my door which means things can spend days in there,
or using a *you were out card* which looked like it had been through the wash in someones trousers
or the slip we got with nothing on it...

WTF? Is our delivery man some kind of epic stoner?
He's lucky I've not bothered to call our local office and give them shit about his antics yet... one of these days I'll get round to it!

I kind of have the opposite problem. I tried to get the Royal Mail to do this for me but they couldn't/wouldn't do it. I know I'll hardly ever be in to accept parcels so I'm more than happy to just go pick them up from the collection office to save them being carried around.

This happened to me with Royal Mail a few years ago now. I was watching in the window for the Postie as I was expecting something and I saw him walk down the drive, heard the letterbox go and watched him walk away. After reading the 'sorry you were not in' I ran after him down the road and had a go. He literally said nothing and looked extremely sheepish, 1 point to me lol.

I live in a different house now and the problem I have here is the postman squeezing things into the letterbox that don't fit. I have to pull them out from outside Evil or Very Mad Haven't been in to catch him red handed yet though, but when I do Twisted Evil

Stop confusing couriers with parcel carriers.

True, there are some truly awful couriers out there but 99% will do what is required

My postman is the best, he opens up my door and put the stuff on the floor instead of knocking, me not hearing, or trying to get out of bed, find some clothes + something to cover my huge dick, go down stairs, open the door and squigle on the phone thing.
If the door is locked then he puts it in the shed with a note left somewhere or fits it in the back of the postbox.

Just caught a Yodel driver walk up my drive and post a failed delivery card through the door without even knocking.

Why do they do this? Surely it can't take too long to knock and take a surname and collect a signature? I was downstairs at the time and there is no way this bloke knocked.

There must be a reason, but I can't fathom it. When I pulled him up on it, he just shrugged his shoulders and handed me the parcel.

Because he's giving you a taste of the service you'll receive if you vote leave. Wink

Sisters postman decided it would be a good idea to wedge a parcel in the handle on the outside of the door

It was a load of makeup samples and things for my niece

So as soon as you opened the door it droppedon the floor smashing a load of bottles of nail varnish

I do have it easy, everyone who delivers to me knows the safe spot, leaves it there and pops the slip through the door.

But I live in the sticks, theft is very low.
The postie knows I work nights so often doesn't knock as to not disturb me, which is nice of him.

Exactly. So if we leave, who is going to deliver your parcels? Wink
